BADGERS WOMEN CONFIDENT TO END SEASON ON A HIGH

The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers team will be confident to end their season on a high this weekend. In what was the first season of a professional women’s league in South African cricket, Jané Winster, and her team will take on the Knights at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn this weekend.
The Badgers had a fairly successful season, and they might feel that they missed out on the T20 title after two narrow defeats but a clinical finish in both the Limited over and T20 matches will be the desired objectives. The Badgers will however be without their international star, Tazmin Brits, who is with the Proteas on national duty against Sri Lanka but they will believe they have enough firepower to overcome the visitors from Bloemfontein – who is bottom of the log in both formats. Mignon du Preez, a former national captain, forms part of the Knights set-up.
The limited over match will be played on Saturday followed by the T20 encounter on Sunday.
