Mossel Bay (202/5), thanks to a century by Jhedli van Briesies (131*) claimed an important 5 wicket victory against George (201 all out) on Saturday. Khwezi Gumede (4/41), with the ball, produced an impressive bowling performance. In reaching the target in the 36th over Mossel Bay also gained an important bonus point and they are now level at 10 points with Plett Pioneers at the bottom of the log table.
Harlequins Forces (119/6), at Loerie Park, won by four wickets against Knysna Cavaliers (114 all out). For Harlequins both Jermaine le Kay (3/34) and Rhupino Plaatjies (3/14) bagged three wickets.
Pacaltsdorp United (157/7) had to dig deep but still managed a three-wicket victory against Union Stars II (151 all out) and remain on the first position on the log.
Union Stars I, at the Bridgton Sport Grounds – with an impressive innings total of 274/8 – defeated Plett Pioneers (135 all out) by 139 runs to improve their position on the log. The best performances came from Breyton Plaatjies (84 for Union Stars with the bat), Marcello Piedt (64 with the bat for Pioneers) and Herschell America (3/9 with the ball for Union Stars) were the top performers in this match.
On Sunday at the Bridgton Sport Grounds Union Stars (80/6 in 19.3 overs), moved to the second place on the log positions after a 4 wickets bonus point victory against their Oudtshoorn neighbours, Harlequins Forces (79 all out).
