PLETT PIONEERS IN SWD PREMIER LEAGUE FINAL

The team of Plettenberg Bay Pioneers who advanced to the final of the SWD Premier league after defeating George in the qualifier match on Saturday is:

Plettenberg Bay Pioneers on Saturday advanced to the Six Gun Grill SWD Premier league final after a convincing 103 runs victory against George and will now take on Knysna Cavaliers in the final that will be played at the REC Ground on 21 March.
Pioneers, who batted first, scored 183 all out thanks to a half-century by Jean du Plessis (60). Ayabonga Anthony bagged 3/8 for George. The George batting line-up failed against the Pioneers bowling attack and the home side was dismissed for only 80.
The final log positions are: (1) Knysna Cavaliers – 29 points, (2) George – 28 points, (3) Plett Pioneers – 24 points (4) Union Stars – 20 points (5) Harlequins Forces – 15 points (6) Sussex – 10 points (7) Mossel Bay – 9 points (8) Ramblers – 0 points. Ramblers, who could not record a victory, will be relegated to the Promotion League.
