SWD SCHOOL TEAMS TOO STRONG FOR NORTHERN CAPE

The SWD U/13 team that won both their matches against Northern Cape during the weekend are:
Back Row: Douglas Baartman (Head Coach), Brayden Andrews, Cameron Avontuur, Nicolas Duvenhage (Captain), Bernard Jonkers (Manager), Matthew Weideman, Josh Carelse, Corné Kennedy and Ian Coetzee (Assistant Coach)
Front Row: Juvandré Alexander, Jesse Lewis, Singa Mayoyo, Sherwin Plaatjies, Hlangani Hlumels, Sebastian Bell and Inathi Khitshini
The respective age group teams of SWD were all too strong for Northern Cape in a series of friendly matches that were contested in Knysna on Saturday and Sunday.
The time cricket format matches were played on Saturday while Twenty20 matches were played on Sunday. The matches were in preparation for the Cricket SA National youth tournaments that will kick-off as from Saturday. The CSA Momentum u/15 week will be held in East London between 5 and 9 December followed by the CSA Momentum U/13 week that will be hosted in Pretoria between 7-11 December 2019. The CSA Momentum U/15 week which will be held in Port Elizabeth will start on 11 December and will end on 15 December. Nelspruit will be the host for the CSA Girls u/19 week which will be held from 8-12 December. The Khaya Majola U/19 week will take place in Benoni between 15 to 19 December.
